Location: The lake is directly in front of you - so close you can hear the water lapping the shores. This is your "cabin in the woods at the lake" where you can hear the loons and be part of a small community of cottagers. Within a 5 minute drive of Wiarton and 20 minute drive to Sauble Beach.
Accommodations: This cottage has been modernized and renovated to provide you comfort and modern conveniences. Fully equipped with all appliances. (Fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc.) Colour TV and VCR. This 2 bedroom cottage has 2 double beds plus a sofa for an additional person. Your modern glass stall shower and newly installed toilet are in a separate structure just outside your back door. Inside your cottage, there is the convenience of a newly installed small washroom with sink and chemical toilet. This is best suited for 4 people, however an additional person can be accommodated on the living room sofa. Nice screened front porch to watch the fantastic sunsets.
Outdoors - This is where this cottage "pops"! The lakefront is just 20 steps from your front door. There is a community dock here that attracts sunbathers and accommodate boat tie-ups. Here, you can use the community (non motorized) boats FREE. Try your fishing or just paddle around the lake and explore. There is usually a nightly community campfire which welcomes all - or you have your own area for a campfire if you wish your own space. Also, there is a gas BBQ to complete the package.
A unique Ontario holiday destination that is so affordable - high season is less than $23 per day per person (based on 5 people sharing).
